Based on the autobiographical monologue of the same name, Fox Chase Boy follows Gerad Argeros’ powerful journey to reclaim his narrative as a survivor of childhood sexual abuse. Steeped in the shared nostalgia of a Northeast Philadelphia working class neighborhood, the film engages comedy and memoir to acknowledge and confront deep personal and communal traumas inflicted within a closeknit Catholic parish. Weaving Argeros’ raw performances, orginal super 8 film and open conversations with other victims and families, Fox Chase Boy gives a new lens and voice to a crime cloaked in silence.
